you guys are all very welcome and thank you all for your kind words.

It is always a pleasure to take photos of the Tameshigiri - even if it's hard on my butt (BTW if any of you have the August/2010 issue of Blade magazine - that's me hiding behind that camera, my butt on the hot tarmac in the photo on page 14)

Timing is always a challenge for these shots - James Williams often does a double cut - first cutting off a section, and the second cutting that section in mid-air.

My camera this year is a Pentax K-x dSLR which is faster in operation - which helped in some shots - but on some the second (anticipated) shot of mine was too early - so I caught the preparation or set up, as oppose to the actual second cut - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.....
