My advice? Join Knife Rights. At the end of July, they're giving away a LOT more steel in the Ultimate Steel giveaway. This piece came my way yesterday at Blade Show, but there's also a Chris Reeve Large Unique Graphic Damascus Sebenza 21 with Inlay in the mix of forthcoming prizes. I got to see it yesterday, and it is sweet.

I'm with you, Guyon. I've made appeals to folks on this subforum and others to join Knife Rights. I don't understand how anybody could think that "oh well, legislative issues don't apply to me, and I'll just let others fight for my rights."

That's an awesome knife Jason !!!

Did you win that knife, or purchase it ? edit- never mind, as I'm sure you won it from a donation. Huge Congrats:thumbup:

Thanks for the link, they are giving away a lot of nice knives. I hate to admit I have never donated to them, but I will.

Very cool knife and such a great cause!

Big thump up for both:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks Guyon ...

I made a donation and an annual membership as well. Have to admit, haven't thought as much about knife rights. Probably just too detached, as Pennsylvania's knife laws are some of the most nonrestrictive in the country.

Thanks to you and everyone who had joined and donated. We need everyone's support to create a Sharper Future™ for all Americans.

As to Pennsylvania, while not bad, Knife Rights is working on a bill to repeal the state's ban on switchblades and enact Knife Law Preemption. http://www.kniferights.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=171&Itemid=1 You should be hearing more on this later this year as action in the legislature picks up steam again.

Congrats Guyon! That is a nice looking Sebenza. The Knife Rights ultimate steel giveaway is quite impressive. I spent time on several occasions looking at the many incredible items in that giveaway (I also entered :D).

And as a Pennsylvania resident, I also enjoy the mostly reasonable knife laws (just avoid Philadelphia), but I was still excited to see the legislation that Knife Rights is working on here.

Enjoy that Sebenza! Very generous of Roger @ KW. :thumbup:

This is not a Blade Show Sebenza comment .... but more of a question concerning Knife Rights, since its reference occupied most of the posts in the thread. Has anyone who contributed, based on this thread, an amount large enough to include an annual membership actually received notification of that membership yet? It has been a month now and I have heard nothing after my $60 donation (other than my initial transaction invoice). I have emailed Knife Rights twice, yet have not received a single reply/acknowledgement. So, I can't even set up/register an account on the Knife Rights site. Plan to call them next week, but wanted to check to see if anyone knows what their procedure for establishing a membership is ... of if anyone actually received a membership based on a qualified donation during the ultimate steel giveaway.

Normally we answer emails in less than 12 hours, so I apologize, but I cannot see that we have received any emails to which we have not responded since Blade Show. You might check your email SPAM folder. We have lots of problems with that.

We typically take 30-60 days to process memberships as we do them in batches depending in part on availability of one of our volunteers to process them. I do know that all the Blade Show donations have been matched with tickets for the drawing, so I presume Sue will be working on the membership part before long.

Hope this answers your questions.
