Didn't get a chance to go to Blade Show this year? Or maybe you've never had the opportunity to go and would like to get a better idea as to what it's all about! Here's my photo report covering all the new knives and their makers from this year's Blade Show, including my own knife and knife related acquisitions:

My report includes my thoughts on some of ZT's latest knives including the new 0392, and well as my hands-on impressions of the ZT 0562 and 0562CF! I also check out CRKT's new Hijinx! In the custom realm, I check out the selection (or lack thereof) of knives from Brian Tighe and Kirby Lambert, as well as a selection of knives from Todd Begg, RJ Martin, and many more!

Would love to hear your thoughts on the report and discussions on the knives you saw if you were there!

John,

Thanks for the pictures and report. Thoroughly enjoyable and likely as close as I will come in the foreseeable future to attending a Blade Show.

Thanks for the kind words guys - I tried very hard to make the reader feel like they were there.

Interesting read. I enjoyed it.

One point to bring up: It was my understanding that both versions of the 0562 will be regular production. You stated the CF version would be limited edition. Was something mentioned at the KAI booth to make your statement fact? Just curious, man.

This is true, both are slated to be reg production, same with the emerson 0620. Also the bearing system is KVT not IKBS.

I stand corrected - I emailed Thomas and he confirmed the 0562CF will be a regular, not limited production piece. Fantastic!! I also corrected the KVS typo.

There's no way I could ever travel to Blade but many, many thanks and mad props for your photos and review. Much appreciated!

There is enough knife talk to move this to General. Nice review.

What's the steel on that F3?

And how comfortable is it in hand?

N690 blade steel - my first knife with this steel. It's surprisingly comfortable for me (keep in mind I'm 5'7") but I don't get a full five finger grip, which is to be expected. I'm working on a review of the knife - here's a teaser photo:

Thanks for posting this John, it is great to be able to live vicariously though you! Looks a like a blast.
