How are you all doing at at Blade? We are having a great time. The best part is meeting new people and learning more about various aspects of knife making and using.

Thanks to Ethan and Bladite and Guyon and fellows at Kabar booth today for taking time to visit.

Sorry for blurry pics. My ten year old is not great with phone! More pics later. Feel free to share your experiences.

Went to BLADE for the first time ever today - really cool experience! I got to handle some knives I've been curious about, see some of the stuff coming out in the next year, and talk to some really cool folks.

Of course, the top of my list was to try to meet "the boss." You guys have always talked about how great Ethan is about making time for his customers. The experience did not disappoint. We talked about the show, the Gathering, the BK&T subforum. He made sure to introduce me to Bladite (seems like another cool dude) and the three of us talked about the BK20 a few minutes. Then, he walked me over to show me some of Jim Bensinger's stuff, tried to introduce me to Murph & Vik along the way (but they weren't where he left them), told me stories about some of our blade brethren from Norway. He probably spent 15-20 minutes with me and it was the first time we'd met.

Thanks for your time, Mr. Becker!

And please, don't mind the dork on the left - he was just excited to meet the Legend on the right. :-)

It's Blade. What can you say? Glad you had a good time.

It was definitely nice to put some faces with names, and hearing how the bk14 came about from the man himself was great

All of you who made it to Blade this year SUCK!

Wish I could have made but this work thing keeps getting in the way; gotta support the habits such as living indoors, eating regularly, guns, knives, flying, fishing, quality liquor and reasonably good beer - you know ... the basic essentials.

Salty nailed it. Would have loved to go, but had to deal with too much work-related stuff.

I assume folks took more pics? Please post!

My feet hurt.
My back hurt.

My backpack just got heavier as the day went on... All the stuff I kept adding. My ten year old can't stop showing people his knife "Ethan Becker" gave him. He had it at the campsite today and was lashing it to his belt with paracord.

I missed the Becker gathering at the Pit Saturday evening. Hopefully another time.

got home a few hours ago -- had a blast, looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

Mmmm - I almost grabbed a Varsity hamburger for lunch at the ATL airport on Sunday. This makes me wish I had...

i scouted the airport for a bit, but no Varsity near me, so i settled for a not bad "killer burger". good.

local arby's has "meat mountain" - the mountain that rides (in your colon). good times.

A mountain of Fogo's meat reappeared Sunday evening. It looked like a pissed off boa constrictor. I think it mooed at me.

Prolapsed?
