This might have already been posted, but here’s the rundown. Some cool designs this year.

I was especially happy to see that Tom Mayo’s protege Ed Cope won Best New Knife Maker of the year, as I recently bought one of his custom knives and will post pics when it arrives. Congrats Ed, you earned it!

Knife makers from Maniago, Italy were the big winners this year:
  • Overall Knife of the Year
  • Manufacturing Quality Award
  • Knife Collaboration of the Year
  • Kitchen Knife of the Year

That Hinderer Full Track that was photographed is currently in my pocket:D

The company that represents all those companies from Maniago, Italy are in the booth beside us. They are the nicest folks you would ever meet and were blown away by all the awards. Congrats to all the winners!

I take it the Full Track is a worthy daddy to the Half Track? =)

What are your overall thoughts so far? I've wanted a Half Track for forever but always wanted it a little bigger!

Not surprised by Lionsteel's Manufacturing Quality Award, i like the idea of the spring loaded clip, and their fit & finish is always at a very high level i believe.
Very happy to see Chris Reeve's slipjoint get a reward, that's a beautiful knife. Excited to wait for a carbon fiber version maybe?
