I’ll be there again this year. I have learned some valuable pieces of advice about attending the Blade Show....first, make a list. Really. (If there’s ever been a knife that you’ve wanted but weren’t sure about how it would look or feel in person, this is the time to try it in hand.) Second, expect to spend more money than you planned, and budget for this accordingly. Third, if you have knives to sell or trade, bring them along. Lots of side deals get made between folks. Lastly, it’s a good idea to check out the floor plan ahead of time so you’ll have some idea of which vendor booths you want to check out first.
It’s an overwhelming experience, and it’s easy to get blinded by all the pretty sharp pointy things on display. Having a list of priorities has helped me to stay on track.
ETA: Comfortable shoes and a backpack are strongly recommended!
