Hello all, I will be attending blade show this year for my first time! while it is exciting, I do have a few questions and looking for general advice on anything else.

1) I was fortunate enough to receive a CAP pass. While not an early bird which is 10am, it is 11am 1 hour before general admission. I am basically only going for a few key makers, one being Holt blade works. From your personal experiences will I even have a chance getting in at 11am to get a specter? Or should I kiss that goodbye when early birds have their 1 hour of fun?

2) am I allowed to bring any of my knives into the show, I have a few I may like to trade and or sell. (apologies if noob question)

3) any general tips and tricks for blade show?

thank you all!

You can bring whatever knives you would like...maybe try not to bring a huge backpack tho. There are lots of people!

Holts did all their sales by lottery if I remember correctly. I wouldnt expect anything different this year.

Tips and tricks - Dont be in a rush, and have fun, soak it all in. Visit “the pit”. :)

There is no way I would attend BLADE this year with the increasing covid-19 numbers in GA and the South in general. Fatalities are holding about the same, but lots of new cases and we don't know how that will develop other than a hell of a lot more people are going to become infected. Since I am part of the higher risk group, I will not attend.

My advice, take cash but credit and debit cards are accepted these days. ATM machines are at the convention center.
Plan your visit by looking at the vendor map and prioritize different knife makers in terms of your time (at least initially). Then wander around as most of us do.
Carry some sort of bag for your loot.
If you can afford it, stay at the hotel at the center. No parking hassles that way.
From my experience, knife trading is not as good as a normal knife show. But I know some do.

Don’t forget your Hazmat suit.

I chose to not attend this year, mainly due to the unprofessional way that Bladeshow decided to handle this.

This year will not reflect what a true Blade show is

plan on it being not crowded

everyone I know as in makers etc is not going
That is my guess as well which means the show will not be reflective of a normal Blade Show. If you go every year, it might make sense if you accept the virus risks, but otherwise, I wouldn't bother with this year's show. It is very easy for me to attend.... just a modest drive, spend the day, and return home.
