Never been to blade show but am looking forward to going this year. Will there be a lot of CRKs available for purchase there? I'm interested in expanding my collection. thanks.

There are some available at the CRK booth. CRK knives have so many on back-order that there won't be much to choose from. However, every year I've been to BLADE I've been happy with the availability of knives to choose from. I make it a tradition to buy one CRK from BLADE every year.

My experience has been that at Blade, CRK always tends to show up with some really nice one-of-a-kind uniques, as well as some knives with special embellishments that are not available any other place besides the show. The knives go fast, so if you attend with the idea of buying, I'd hit the CRK booth earlier rather than later.

Besides the main CRK booth, there are always other vendors that carry CRKs at the show. Don't expect much in the way of great deals- prices will still be pretty much the same. You might be able to pick up a secondhand Sebenza for $300, if you're lucky. The great thing about Blade is that you'll be able to look at and handle the whole product range at the booth, and CRK usually introduces something new at the show. And Chris is usually there, so if you're lucky, you'll get to meet the man himself, and shake his hand.

This and every year.

I'm actually thinking of hosting Blade 2013 at my house next year. I thought we'd do a pot luck and BYOB. You guys in?

It's not quite the Cobb Galleria, but when the fire pit's rockin' and the gin and tonics start flowing, everything is allright. I've only got one guest room though, and my kids both have have exotic pets, so please be mindful of dark corners.

See y'all then!

I wish I knew more. A buddy of mine said that they are working in a new folder. I wish I could make it to blade this year, but my wife and I are expecting very close to that date. Next time I see my source, I'll ask if he knows any details

This is true with most good makers, you have to get there eariler because unless it's a lottery or certain offerings at a specific time, most good stuff go fast...

Yep. And sometimes some makers sell all of their stuff the day before the show and just sit at an empty table for a day or so. RJM

I've heard there might be a new folder this year

I heard something similar, that there will be a new knife. When I was at SHOT show this year I asked Anne if there was anything new at the show and she said there was not but there would be something at BLADE. She did not say if it was a folder, fixed, kitchen or any clues, just that there would be something new. So I am looking forward to hearing what it is.
