Blade Show Atlanta, 2024!!!!

I had a blast. I was amazing to see how fast guys like Ploppert, Swenson, Dunlap, etc sold out. You can really only make one purchase. I scored these two from two very talented makers I’m also lucky enough to call friends: large and mid sized flush joint back pockets by Grayson Jennings and Zach Hoskins, respectively.



I also grabbed this great hunter from Caleb French of Lone Oak Forge, I love the sheath work, the bone linen micarta, and I really wanted to try something from a maker I wasn’t familiar with.



My “miss” was a Remington 1306 by Tim Robertson, I had entered some lotteries and gotten ahead of myself, and by the time I lost them it was gone, but after handling it I am set on owning one.

I'll get some video when it gets back to me for sure, shipped everything out from the hotel earlier and flying back now...should be back in my grubby little paws on Wednesday 😁

These are really nice looking slipjoints and the fixed blade isn't bad either! Looks like a handy size.

Seeing that one was a highlight for me. Rhidian offered my buddy and I the opportunity to handle it but after seeing the current bid I asked him to demo it for us instead 🤣

This whittler took best slipjoint, and probably would have come home with me Friday if I hadn't been holding out for the Safety Hunter auction on Saturday...a phenomenal piece that I think even Tony Bose would have been impressed with🤌


His Barlow took best miniature and also would have gone home with me if I'd have been fast enough😂 An incredible piece that's even smaller than it looks in the video...that scrimshaw is TINY, and that's coming from an engraver🤯
