I am set up on my laptop at the hotel...The Show is amazing and there are some "Pretty" knives there....Time to sell the house and hock the wife...

So far I got 2 Busse's, 2 Rob Simonich Talonite Blades, 2 Lynn Griffith's including one prototype, one Talon from Mike & Spark, and one Lile small folder. I toted them all around in my BladeForum bag wearing my BF hat. I also got Bill Moran's signature on his book.

I am having a blast. Now to eat, rest and go back tomorrow...

Wow,do ya any money left? I would love just to see all those awesome blades in one palce.

I too am on my laptop at the hotel. I did not buy anything to day because I ran out of time just looking around, but on Saturday I plan to do some spending

I'll try to answer your question the best I can. We slipped out to a comedy club.

I got one of Rob's Cetans with red scales and carbon fiber inserts and one of his talonite neck models which has already sliced up a lime. She said, "Here take this back, this sucker is sharp." Rob is a great guy and I enjoyed really talking to him.

I also talked for a good while with Lynn Griffith and his lovely wife. I bought a Supercop model with black G-10 that looks super. (That emotion your are feling is called envy) I also had to get a prototype model that should prove to be real handy. Lynn's table is next to Rob's and he is a also one great guy.

I now have a Busse Steel Heart Varient and a Dessert Storm Mean Street that Tony Soprano (AKA Andy Prisco) sold me. Well his wife sold me the Mean Street. I look forward to meeting Jerry tomorrow.

I also picked up a nice small Lile folder. You have to get a classic just to say you got one. I got a Camillus Talon from Mike. The kydex sheath was loose and the Camillus people couldn't get with the Blade-Tech people fast enough and I will get a new sheath in the mail soon. One of those "Good" stories for the Good bad & Ugly forum.

If you haven't got your BF hat, you are missing out. Nice, good quality hats. My new BF knife bag came in real handy today.

I met several real great people today. Some with names that you see in magazines. Darrel Ralph has this double action knife that is cooler than ever, one of those "got to own regardless of the mortgage payment types". W. D. Pease has some blades so pretty it will bring tears to your eyes. Les Robertson has a collection that will make you consider selling yourself on the street to own. After looking at her table I asked Dellana to marry me. I met Bill Moran and plan on being at his seminars tomorrow, he is a real great guy. I also held a Scagel, WOW, time to sell the farm boys.

Every BF member I met was a long time friend. Makers, no matter how famous, will talk you. Dealers will treat you like you are their only customer.

I look forward to tomorrow, big time. Thanks to Mike & Spark for the VIP pass. I sure I will have stories after tomorrow.

Melvin,

I was the fluffy guy talking to Mike when you picked up your caps etc at 1SKS. Sorry we did not get a chance to talk but we were both too busy trying to go in eight or ten directions at the same time while throwing money at people with sharp pieces of metal on flat boards with wonderious and mysterious fiber and skin coverings.

Know what you mean about the guys at the show. The wife and I took a friend and his family to the show on Friday. Six boys 12 to 2 and an 8 1/2 month old girl.

As soon as the guys heard that this was the kids FIRST show they ruined them for life. It seemed like there was NO ONE ELSE in the room. All attention was given to the wide eyed questions of buddding knife knuts.

All of the guys knew that their knives were out of the range of these kids but they all answered questions and spent time looking at knives with them.

Great show. Sorry that all could not make it.

Hey Mel or anyone staying at the Waverly,

This is my first show and I am a little lost. I am here with my non-knife girlfriend who will be shopping while I am at the show.

Neil (Dr. Lathe) makes some real fine knives. Yawl need to contact Kevin (Edge Equipment) and place your order. Like I said, real super people.
