My first visit was a blast. Present from the best wife ever, bought ticket for me and son so she didn't have to go. Finally met some makers that I knew (by owning knife only) and a ton of new possibilities. Skipped the demo's and classes so I'll have something to look forward to next year. Cherry on top was winning a Give-a-way from the good folks at (not sure if I can name names). Will have to check rules. Don't think this is deal spotting, just trying to give credit where its due. I don't post much just here to learn.

Wish I could have gone, they changed the location from Long Beach to Mormontown for some reason. Sweet! Sounds like a lot of good stuff there, would have loved to see the Military 2 and paid respects to Spydie's crew and bought some stuff, would have loved to go troll the Medford booth, like "But, I have a regular Swiss Army Knife here, and I can just pull the tool out like that", would have loved to check out some other knives that I otherwise never get a chance to see in person like ZT or Kershaw or Benchmade.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. One day I'd love to go but that is probably unrealistic. I'm more likely to get the wife to go to a gun show of some sort. She does carry a SAK Classic (purple!) but she is more interested in firearms and shooting. I'm not mad, she's a keeper and puts up with me.

I'm spoiled, I live local, so I don't have to travel/book a hotel room. This year was fantastic. I spent WAY more than I had intended, LOL, but I scored a few things that I've had my eye on for a while. Great crowds both Friday and Saturday, Sunday is always less crowded and more chill.

It's always good to see old friends, meet some new ones, and talk to the makers behind the knives. The knife community is, by far, some of the best folks you'll ever meet.

Anyone been to the shows in Marlborough, MA? They have a couple coming up in September and November, I was wondering if it’s worth the hour and a half drive each way.

I go to the show there all the time. It is mostly filled with venders selling crap. You can find some good stuff among makers but there are not that many. Haven't ever seen top name stuff there.
Good way to kill a few hours but I don't know if I would travel that far for it.
