I'd like to know what everyone would like to see at Blade Show this year.

Maybe the Companies and Makers will give us what we want:thumbup:

When I've gone I'm blown away by all the amazing blades and the great Makers I meet. It's very easy to spend some serious bank!

I know there will be lots of beauitul, high quality, big and medium blades, that's a given,
but I'd like to see some more neckers and simple skeleton blades so I can try out different Companies and Makers works and metals.

How about you?

i'd like to just go, on 3 occasions when i've been in the US while this is on and no more then 2 states away i never end up getting to go. :(

Contemplating going this year for the first time. I posted a thread about this show a few months back and got a big response from others on this forum. Everyone has been completely positive about it. However, they've all said something to the effect that everyone that attends will be blown away by the presence of the tools and blades encountered. :)

blown away is true! you'll be able to handle and feel your favorite dream blades and find ones you didn't even know about or think much about!

I will not be able to attend this year. I am taking vacation time at the end of June to run a marathon and could not justify a vacation at the beginning of June as well. Next year for sure.

What would I like to see? An expanded lineup from DiamondBlades--a) a bowie style offering, a la the Kabar b) a folder c) a small fixed edc with guard.

Also the return of the liner lock at William Henry.

A folder maker with a sign or bus. card advertising SUK's (sport utility knives), not 'tactical knives.'

Last but not least, a knife/pen/light combo from Allen Elishewitz or Rick Hinderer or any maker out there with the cojones to try..

Enjoy, all who go(how could you not), and report back if you see or hear of any knife/pen/light combos.

very good, I'm stealing that!

I plan on attending. This will be my 5th Blade show, and it never ceases to amaze me at the quality and quantity of knives available for one to peruse. Definitely the best knife show.

I've been three or four times, but the last time was in '05 or '06. Hoping to make it this year, but money is tight right now. I'm going to try to make it anyway.

This will be my first one when it hits the Cobb Galleria in GA. I am really psyched for three days of checking out my favorited custom makers, testing out some new factory knives, and picking up some new cutlery.

HAHA Knifegasm!

That is a new one.

good question GM! maybe he'll see this thread and answer.
he checks in on us from time to time, nice guy.

I'm really looking forward to going to it this year. This will be my first one and I hope to pick up a swamprat and scrapyard knife....should be fun.

I'll be in Atlanta this summer on an internship and I'll be there come wind or high water!!! My only hope is that my "newb"-ness is well tolerated and I can leave with a little money still in the bank:D:(

In honesty, I'm like Danton, I hope there are some neckers and other "small" knives and no-frills skeleton knives. For several reasons. Since I have no Blade Show experience I also hope to get a feel for some of these super-steels I've never got to handle. And lastly, to learn as much as I can from as many makers as I can because there are two things on my "do-list" this summer besides daily-life/work stuff. Learn Greek...and start acquiring some basic blade-making "stuff". (belt-sander, small vise, drill press...etc) How's that for a random mix!?!?
