I couldn't go this year..But what is the news !!?? I was told there was not a meeting on Saturday but did BCCI members display?

Blade Show - My most vivid memory------Braves were playing all days and traffic was LA heavy most of the day. I am getting older and live where people stop in middle of road to look at garage sales.

BCCI had 20 displayers. Our tables were in hallway at east entrance. BCCI meeting on Sat. afternoon as per normal. CJ Buck gave presentation, but guess what guys I stayed with wife at Buck 20 tables island as the sole presence and security, so I got no info. from meeting. Did have someone offer me $1500 for my display. But, did not sell in end. Don't know who elected to what or who even won a prize. was on end of table rows and held down back gate (on pathway to restrooms) and answered questions on about four displays while owners walked around elsewhere. Same ole plastic folding chairs. Lots of kilt wearers walking the hallway. Saw only one EMT run into convention hall. But, I gave out four bandaids……. Clint, restrooms 50 yds away, popcorn, pizza and chic-fil-a across the hallway which moved the passing crowds over to our tables because of people waiting in line..... Knife info from meeting and big room will need some others to join in...300

One was carrying a mace with spikes and looked like he would use it if you made fun of him. Some of the big displayers do hire spokes models but did not get to see them. Did see a Spanish bull fighter walk by, no pet bull. Parking was 5 bucks, free parking was long way off. Price went to $25 after 7:30 for Braves game parking. Lots of people with kids, friends, groups of mature guys that had driven several hours to get there and I answered the question on where to buy tickets 25 or more times. I got asked because I was in open, had Buck stuff on including orange hat. Maybe wear different color next time...… BCCI was near east door and tickets were at west door...Last time someone cut themselves with sword and area cordoned off till blood splatter could be deemed safe.300

I went to the meeting. We elected officers. I didn’t take notes. Check the next BCCI Newsletter for details. CJ said that displays were down a little this year on account of the 30th reunion. This is normal in a reunion year. He also said that the club did such a good job of putting out publicity for Buck that a factory booth would be somewhat redundant.

ONLY garage sales?!
Consider you self lucky.
In St. Croix, USVI they also stop in the traffic lanes** to chat with their friends, family, and strangers for up to an hour or more.
** Two lane narrow streets, blocking traffic both directions.
It was faster to walk or ride a bicycle than to drive most places on the island.
They also drive on the wrong side of the road ... with cars that put the driver next to the curb or sidewalk.

Sounds like business as usual. So much for Arman's suggestion. DM

Did Buck have knives to sell at the meeting? I guess over the years I bought a dozen or so 112's for my collection there but I wish I had the funds to buy some of the incredible buildouts Buck brought there for us..

Here they brake for unicorns and people with flat tires on the other direction of lanes of the freeway, sometimes 8 lanes away...

They had 3 or 4 sales tables, but I had to leave before the sale.
