BLADE SHOW Photos anyone?

I saw many taking photos both in and around the show areas.

If anyone has photos of either knives or show photos in general please post them here. It's always enjoyable to be able to look back on the Blade Show in the months ahead and having photos in one thread makes that much easier.

Though there were some problems, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that even in one of the worst economies we have ever experienced there were still hundreds if not thousands of beautiful knives and thousands of knife enthusiasts enjoying them and the Blade Show experience. I hope the photos posted here will show that.

I was sure hoping we'd see more. I know Coop will come through with an outstanding gallery of exceptional cutlery from the show, but I still really enjoy the "walking the floor" shots.

Hi Roger, I enjoy the "walking the floor shots" as well.

As you know, we generally have a ton of show photos on our CKCA "review forum" for most shows however with Murray White not being able to make the show and others being busy with other CKCA business (including yourself), I'm afraid I dropped the ball in asking someone to get photos for us.

Yep, Murray has been a real blessing for us in covering shows. If fact his photography skills along with Steven's write-ups, are a tough combination to beat.

Anyway, hope some photos will show up here.

Here's a Roger walking the CKCA banquet floor shot.
Our banquet/meeting/show was a lot of fun and a complete success. It was great to finally put faces with the names of so many members.
Maggianno's supplied us with a beautiful room with ample space with outstanding food and great service. We had 59 present in spite of delayed flights which kept a few from attending.

I had a very good show, my inlaws came down from MI to be there for my test with my niece Genna in tow, who I had not met yet. Holding her was one of the highlights of my show. I sat with Roger P at my dinner table during the banquet, it was good to meet him. Kevin stoped by to say hi and Karl B was 3 tables down from me. Kyle was right across the aisle. I meet a lot of new folks and saw some old friends sold all of my test knives and these two. It was great to meet some forum members.

Absolutely one of the coolest knives in Atlanta!
Three entirely dissimilar components, yet when all matched up created a complimentary package that I couldn't put down.
Way to go.

Dave, Nice to hear something positive about the show. Congratulations on your Js! That's two shows in a row that you have done good at. Hope your streak continues on to Blade West.

A pleasure meeting you at the ABS Banquet Dave, though I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see your knives. That first one is right up my alley. Glad you had a good show and thanks for the additional pics.

Roger

Dave, that knife is awesome! And congratulations!

Here is one that my son Nir took at Tim Hancock's table.
Closest to the camera is Ged Mesinger, Tim's friend who also
wrote the introduction to his book, and I am checking something
in the book while answering a question someone asked...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I have to agree with Karl. I got a chance to put my mitts on this one before it sold, and it was indeed spectacular, and David is a super guy to talk with. He will in fact be making the blade for the March of Dimes knife in 2011, unless something changes between know and then.

This is a knife that I had photographed at Blade. I posted my shot of this spear point earlier, but my shot is pretty poor. This one is much better.

Brian that's a beautiful piece. Enjoyed my closer look at it.

Was nice spending some time with you.

I also had the pleasure of meeting you and holding that knife Brian. As accomplished a photographer as Eric is, even that photo is NO comparision to how that knife looks and feels in the hand.

Thanks for the compliments.

It was a pleasure meeting you Kevin and Peter.

Thank you again, I do appreciate it.

GREAT knives Lin! I love seeing the majority of the test pieces in carbon. I'm sorry I missed the show this year. I'll see you fine gents in '10 :) (assuming I don't have another child on the way ;)).
