It was great to get together with the guys again and show off recently made and purchased knives.

Unfortunately I think all the wait staff at the restraunt had quit 2 days before because everyone that I talked to there had only been working there 2 days! I felt sorry for the staff that got thrown into that mess.

The food was o.k. ,the company great

Here's a shot or two of Dan's table.

A K-3 karda I believe...below it is Dan's sharky necker knife. The pic gives a good Idea on the size.

Here's Mark Nelson...smiling!
He didn't get a chance to get to our dinner. He was doing a good business selling his "markarta" that he makes. I saw quite a few knives with his handle material. Good Job!

And a pic of Tom Kreins table. Unfortunately he wasn't able to make it either.
A nice guy that's eager to share his time and knowledge.

Thanks for the visit and pix....

Looks like the big leagues, and a lot more fun than home shows. :o

Big Banana. LOL.

Fellas that guy Brian Fellhoelter had made some gorgeous folders. Very talented guy. Still no pics from Bamboo. I'm dying to see pics of the knives he bought. They were top notch.

It really was fun meeting you guys. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the photos Shappa.

I thought Tom Krein's stuff was looking really good this year. Looked good last year as well. Maybe it just caught my eye differently this time around.

Dan, you had a really nice table as well. Your survival khuk was quite a nice knife. Handled really well too, and was nimbler than I expected. I'd still opt to use a table saw to cut wood though.... :D ;)

Man I wish I could have made it! That looked like a blast. Is it always held in Atlanta now? I thought it had moved around a few times.

I really hope to make it next year. I'll have to start saving now. ;)

Great pics. Thanks for putting faces to some of the guys on the forum that I have corresponded with. BTW, I'm sure the camera just caught him wrong, but Bamboo looks a bit blitzed after dinner!:D

No, bamboo always looks like that.:D

Just kidding.

Bamboo picked up TWO knives from mastersmiths.
A sweet camp bowie from kevin harvey. And a razor sharp neck knife from Murray Carter.
I also kinda pushed him into buying an Arno Bernard 4 inch hunter with mastadon...at a great price tho.
Bamboo, since I pushed you over the edge on that one ...if you find you don't like it send it to me and I'll send you the buying price plus the shipping.

We did have a ball!
Bamboo,Aziz, Cristie, Brian and I got together for dinner on friday and then on Sat was the official dinner.

Naw, nobody got blitzed. No way we could have gotten beer quick enough from that dyupshyatt server to get blitzed. We had a newb server, and he was.. um... inexperienced. LOL. Just bad timing on the pic. Funny though.

Had a sweet time hooking up with you guys...!

p.s. we need to work on Ron's posing techniques....:D :p

One day I have to make it down that way . All the pics and descriptions have whet my appetite more than I can bear .

I have to say the throwing competition looks awesome even in stills . Look how smooth their actions appear even frozen in time . The guy throwing what appears to be AK47 bayonets is holding onto the very tip of them .
