I am new to this forum and knife collecting in general, But I have absolutely fallen in love with Hinderer knives. I was planning on going to BLADE this year, and was wondering if there would be production Hinderers there, and if they would be at the retail price on the Hinderer web page or, marked up?

If I am breaking any rules asking this, please let me know.

Pricing at Blade tends to run at retail. The big advantages are; 1. the supply (they actually have knives there), 2. the unusual (you'll see stuff that never made it to the stores), 3. you can look before you buy (you actually get to hold the stuff you're interested in), and last 4. sometimes there's a deal.

If you go to Blade take your allowance.

Welcome. I certainly would recommend reading the stickies, take you 20 minutes but well worth it based on your professed Love...
"Blade" is the Super Bowl for knife enthusiasts so attend if you can. A bonus is actually meeting "the Man" himself as well as the herd.

That is Exactly what I was hoping to hear. I have been saving for months specifically for Blade. And coming home with a Hinderer is a must for me, so thanks for edifying my excitement!

Thank you, I will get right on that.

And that bonus is worth the ticket prices in itself!

"Blade" is a great destination for reasons mentioned, pursuit of RHK as a "Hub" of the hobby is understandable.

Will this be the same at the USN gathering in September? I am flying to the states in summer and might go to Vegas just for that :)

The awesome stuff comes to the shows at the best possible prices. But and it's a very large but...good luck must find you in order to score the item(s) you most desire. I've been to both Blade and USN gatherings and left without a new Hinderer. And it's true that knives and accessories often difficult to find or exclusive to shows can happen.

I'll second the idea of going to Blade to check out items "in-hand". I held a brass Extreme-Duty pen that was one of many pens at the Hinderer booth and it was a lot heavier than I imagined, which I preferred. When filling out lottery tickets at the booth, I went straight for the brass ED. I'm looking forward to going to Blade again this year, and hope to come home with a new Hinderer.

Wow I'm in the exact same boat as you! Long time lurker and looking to go to my first Blade this year!

Go to Blade for the experience, talk with the makers of your favorite brands--but respect that the popular ones are busy. Biggest drawback to it all is the crowds unless you love crowds....but it's rarely ever over-crowded....aside from times knives are offered.
