To anyone that has attended. How does security handle people entering while wearing and carrying knives?

As long as you don't have a hockey mask on, and a large hammer with which you bang away at your knife, you should be ok.

There's tables filled with every sort of blade made, so I can't see how worry about the people attending having access to a blade would make a lot of difference. If somebody was crazy enough to start trying to cut people up they could do so just as easy with a knife grabbed from a table as their pocket.
I've even pulled out large folders in Wal-Mart at the sporting goods counter to show customers interested in knives before and they (the clerks) never said a word. So I highly doubt a blade show would care about legal carry of knives.

I would suggest that you find out about Georgia knife laws. I can not remember them, when I went to Blade.

About Security and knives; I went to a motorcycle swap meet and security checked everyone for knives, anyone with a knife was not let in.......kinda funny cause there were at least 5 tables that sold knifes! Go figure!

What has to be unnerving, to non knife guests, at the Waverly hotel adjacent to the show is the sight of a samurai sword being wielded in the lobby. At the show if you are not carrying a knife when you go in you would automatically arouse suspicion.

I plan on attending the show this year. Are you from Atlanta?

I will be coming from Augusta on I-20, is it pretty easy to get to from I-20 or I-75?

So easy even a cave man can do it. In fact, there will be several at the show.
