I just got back from Blade Show and while there managed to hang out with Andy a little bit. I also managed to pick up these beauties! The Woodsman is for me and the Bow Legged Joe is for my Father-in-law for Father's Day.

Ironwood Woodsman (you might have seen this one in the maker's for sale section).

I didn't get a chance to ask Andy the handle material on this one, but I think it is Bocote. Bow Legged Joe with bullseye lanyard.

In addition to making great knives, Andy is a cool guy. Although we didn't get to stay as long as I'd have liked, we still had a great time. Hopefully next year we'll stay for the whole weekend. If you get the chance to make it out next year, it is certainly a great environment with great people.

Sorry for the delay, but flickr was taking forever to upload the photos. Enjoy...

Nice scores! That woodsman has a goreous handle! (shhhh, don't tell my woodsman I said that...)

It was great meeting JC in SC, and his lovely wife, and his purchase on Saturday, really made my day!! I am lucky to have made such good friends in the knife community, and the opportunity to meet, and tip a glass with any of you is truly an honor.

Glad to hear it made your day Andy, it made mine too! I'd been drooling over that Woodsman ever since it hit the maker's for sale area and I was debating between buying it outright, waiting to see what else you brought to Blade or getting in on the second Woodsman run. After seeing it in person, it came down to that one and the stabilized Black Palm, but I just couldn't resist the Ironwood. Like you said, it looks like it is on fire. I don't think my pictures do either of these blades justice as the handles are simply spectacular.

That ironwood beauty is amazing. I saw it in the sale section, and was immediately infatuated with it.

Later today or tomorrow I'll post some additional for sale blades. Then its time to start making the knives for the run!
