I heard unconfirmed reports that a some hillbilly from Illinois was going around early Thursday afternoon and checking boxes of stag for nice pieces as they were being unloaded. It is said that he even went so far as cutting open the cloth bags, with the suppliers permission, that the suppliers store the stag in. I can niether confirm nor deny these reports.

These are all bowie size pieces.

I also picked up some very cool walnut burl from Mike at WSSI

LOL..........I was pursuing large pelagic fishes, not socializing. Mr. Garsson. A manly undertaking by any standard:D I was actually fairly pleased with the results of my rummaging. I just had to do it with people steeping over and around me;) Back to our regularly scheduled program.....I particularly like that second piece from the left in the top row:thumbup:

There is some excellent stag there. The walnut is very nicely figured. Looks like you got some nice mammoth ivory as well.

Craig, someone must have forgot to tell you that great stag is hard to find. ;) :D :)
A very successful hunting trip.

Come on, Craig, who was the supplier?

Do you still have contact with Bruce Merchant of Australia? He had some great gidgee and mallee, but he seems to have vanished just when I need him most.
