I'm not quite sure where to post this, but here seems appropriate.
I want to thank everyone at Blade who had interaction with my daughter Kimberly, the little Brunette in the wheelchair. She had a blast! It was her third consecutive Blade, and the best one yet.
In particular, I want to thank Jerry Busse, Amy O, Bobby Branton, Chris Reeve, John Greco, and Mark Sentz. You all added greatly to her experience, and your kindnesses to her will never be forgotten. To the young couple who helped her when she missed our rendezvous point and became upset, thank you, although I didn't get your names.
Kimberly's birthday is today, June 19. She is 25. Blade was a great gift.
There are not many venues where I would let her roam around unattended.
I had no worries at Blade, as long as she stayed in the Exhibition Hall. She really enjoys the rare opportunities she gets to feel independent. I told her that if anyone attempted anything untoward with her, there were many people around who would gladly cut their throat, and were well equipped to do it.
