Hi everyone,

We were stationed back in TX over the summer and I realized I was only 2 hrs from where Blade TX is going to be held next month. Since I’ve never been able to go to any of the Blade Shows (when we were stationed in GA it was cancelled due to COVID and then we had already left before the next one), I had a few question/advice from you al that have been to the TX Show

1-I was unable to snag an early bird ticket, so how early do you get there and line up if general admission is at 10:30?

2-do you still have luck finding pieces even if you aren’t in early? I’m specifically going to try to grab a Hawk Deadlock, but have a few other booths I want to hit after that.

3-any of you guys going to be there?

I’m planning to go, about a 6 hour drive. Only other pure knife show I’ve gone to the Arkansas Knife show years back that Logan Pearce put on.

Gonna try to arrive Friday mid day and be there Saturday too.

I’ve looked around a little, anyone know of any exhibitions going on, cutting competition or other ?

That’s not terrible. I plan on arriving between 0630-0700 on Friday to see how the line is. I saw something about people lining up overnight but I don’t think it’s that serious

What day are you going? I’m only going Friday since the wife has to work that weekend.

I’m excited to go. I printed out the exhibitor map yesterday to map my route one my must hit firsts and then Just cruise around and check stuff out
Just Saturday unfortunately. Would like to make both days but can’t spare the vacation.

I’m pumped too. I love going to the shows and seeing all the cool stuff. First knife one of course

I don’t have anything drawing me that intensely. I’m a bit disappointed a couple makers I really hoped would be there aren’t on the list. I didn’t see Benchmade or CRK on the exhibitor list either.

In my experience blade tx has yet to become as crazy as blade atl.

Getting in line early helps but camping is likely unnecessary.

Whether or not you get something however will depend on how crazy the makers following is.

I am at table 4T

Thanks! I’m thinking I’m going to arrive 0600-0630 get parked and go check and see how things look line wise and decide if I’m going to hang out in the truck for a while or wait.

Just annoyed that by the time I found out going was going to work out almost the early bird passes were sold.

But I’ll swing by your table for sure

It can be frustrating! Blade has been getting a little silly with passes the past few years, I hope they square all that away!
I had a purple pass the first year to help someone set up that year but since it was a purple pass and not a red pass I couldn't get in until general admission.
I'm hoping to see BladeShow go back to being both more attendee and more vendor friendly going forward.

Having attended all three Blade Shows over the last few years, I like Texas the best. A really good combo between factory and true handmades. Blade West was so-so (wont attend, again) and Atlanta is crazy, but more so because it's turned into more of an industry showcase than a show for users/collectors.

It funny I printed out an exhibitor map and highlighted my route with my must hit makers (Hawk I really want a Deadlock OTF and the main reason for me to decide to Go), then Mechforce and RMJ (they are side by side), the Arcane, Chavez, Miller Bros, Skyraider and Heretic. Then after that I’ll just browse
