hear how the Blade Show West Kitchen Knife Cutting Contest went last night? I didn't stay at the show that late.

I know it's late but well it was interesting. One guy made a french pattern chef knife that was 15 inches long for starters.

There were a few technical difficulties here and there between understanding some of the people explaining what was going to be going on and what kinds of cutting/kitchen techniques will be used. I forgot who won right off hand, but I'm sure that once the kinks work out and there is a good discussion in play next year will be better.

But there was good beer and scotch to be had and some killer Portland area food trucks that threw it down outside.
