OK I'm hooked. I'll never give up my table. We had such a great time at the show. I was really nervous and wondering going into it but, man it was great. I met so many great folks. A ton from the forum, geez I couldn't even name everyone. I think Peter Atwood was the first to greet me, Tess & Danny on Friday and from there on in it was one great chat after another. From my fellow forumites like Dan K. (Pen.), Wayne (Insanity) and his lovely fiance, to Mike Burch, Bruce (birddog4) and so many others, I apologize for not naming everyone. Also, alot of really great and well known makers spent time chatting with me and even in many cases taking the time to look at my attemt at knifemaking like Kit Carson, Ed Caffey, Michael Vagnino, Ed Fowler, Bruce Bump, Ed Halligan and so on and so on (again I apologize). Meeting various well known purveyors, customers new and old. It was just a fantastic experience. And to top it all off, most of our little knives found new homes. How can you beat it. I think it's still going to take me a few days to get back to normal but, it was well worth the experience. I'm not normally a name dropper but, I really just want to thanks everyone for giving this quiet PA hill family such a warm welcome, great conversation, encouragement, tips and stories to last...at least till next year. I can't wait to do it again. Thanks all. Maybe next year I'll make it to the Pit before Sat., too.

J, it was a blast talking with you and Tess. Sorry again for the little mishap. I owe Tess big time! Is she a chocolate lover? ;)

c@@l an't it :D

OK Peter I wasn't going to say anything but, you had to start it... ;)

We had a minor sheath mishap on Thurs. but, Tess took care of it, no problem. Just a little slip. I think Peter was alot more shaken up by it than we were. Ed said I must be making the knives too sharp.

It was just a matter of some re-stitching on an edge, don't worry about it Peter. I'm just not gonna hand you the sheaths anymore.
:D

J. You may be at the point in your career when Tess needs to learn how generate magnetic force fields inside the case.

Until I quit using my extra fine stones, there was a great deal of concern that free roaming atoms may be split bringing about total Platonic reversal and the end of the world as we now know it.

Either dull them some or start star trekking the sheath! :D

Howdy There.......!
Sure was nice meeting you folks at the show. You two young people do some great work, keep it up. I really enjoyed getting to hold and play with the "Sharks Tooth", if any of you didn't get to see it you missed a treat, it is one nice piece of work. Hope that you continue with your plans for another one. Thanks again for taking the time to let me see it, and talking to me. Hope to see yall again at some other shows. Hope that you may consider coming to the North Carolina Custom Knifemakers Guild Show in Winston Salem this year, we sure would love to have you there. Take care and talk to yall later.

Oh, that Shark's Tooth! J, that was an AMAZING piece! Truly one the most interesting things I saw at the whole show. :)

Another great show done gone and went. The rest of us that couldn't get there for lots of reasons are hopeful to make it there some day and join in the fun. I can't think of a better way to spend a few days, and get to meet you folks and have the honor of actually visiting with you. At least, we get to see some pictures and read the posts of the showgoers. That is a real joy, and thanks for the posts, folks. We want to see more, too! Color me green, while you are at it. You all were in the best of company, I must add.
