Went to the Blade Show and met a fine gentleman and his wife. Bought a nice little fixed blade from Wayne Hensley, slapped together one of my own sheaths and I have a great daily carry knife, almost scapel like.

Hi Craig, Having known Wayne for quite a few years I think you made a very excellent choice. Great knives for the money and a great person to get to know. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to B.F.
 
While talking to Wayne Hensley at the Blade Show I told him about my plans on wanting to begin making my own knives, but didn't really know where to start about buying the right kind of equipment. I've drawn up some of my own designs wanting a a good short bladed utility knife, but haven't quite found what I was looking for commercially or custom made. Wayne told me that he gives a one-on-one class on knife making that lasts 3.5 days and I would get to use all his machines under close supervision and walk out the door at the end with my own handmade knife. Heck, my wife even liked the idea of me attending a class rather than buying the equipment first and then cussing through my own learning curve.
