We are coming up on one month to go!!! So who is showing and who is going as a spectator? I'm in the second category for one more year:p I was checking out the floor plan/exhibitor list and once again, there are 800+ exhibitors showing. I have heard that some shows might be having some trouble, but not this monster...lol. Is the show outgrowing the room at the Galleria? I have been told that you must vote early and often to get one of the 160 or so tables in the ABS section. Is there a waiting list for the rest of the tables? I know the place has more space because there alwasy seems to be some kind of graduation/wedding/seminar going on while Blade is running.

I have my VIP passes (from New Graham), and hotel reservations. If I can raise enough money for a tank of gas, I'm in! This will be my first Blade, and I'm looking forward to meeting some of the BF crew. See you there. Bill

I asked the question of whose going for the first time on the Blade Show "what you bringing" thread as I have been going quite a few years and I have had so many collectors tell me they are going for the first time.

THAT'S GREAT NEWS for the industry.

Going to Blade is kind of like making the haj to Mecca for knife knuts. Everyone is required to do it at least once in their lifetime:D I should be ready to test next year, and I had better start worrying about getting a regular table for 2010:eek::D It will be exciting and at the same time, weird and slightly frustrating to have to stand behind a table for 3 days instead of wandering around and slobbering, so I had better go out of my way this year to make sure I get my fix.;) I hope that I can also find a few nice pieces of stag from someone's stock that hasn't been picked over in "pre-show sales" by you heavy hitters...lol.

I am really looking forward to seeing many of you... Most of you
probably for the first time, even though this is my 4th BLADE Show....

It is a 13+ hours flight to Atlanta but this time I shall be first
at Tim Hancock's place for 10 days.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I go as a spectator. It's practically in my back yard, so it's always good to see what's new.

I'll probably be there. Table 25-Q. Looking forward to meeting many of you.

This will be my first Blade Show, look forward to matching faces to names. I am only bringing about $500,000.00 in cash, so I will not be able to stop by everyones table,:grumpy: but I will make the rounds.:)

You do take Monopoly money don't you?:D

Hello Joe. I will be there probably at 21R so stop by and say hello. I am looking forward to meeting you. Maybe MS try this year or 2009, just have to see how the knives turn out. We will see you there.

Actually, we met at the fall '05 Old Washington Hammer-in. If you are going to go for MS in '09, you better start polishing that dagger and checking for scratches the minute you get home from Blade:D

You are correct sir. Shows where my brain is, out in the shop on the work bench. The dagger is together, fine tuning now. Long and pointy and ladder patterned. We will see what they say at the hammer in. I am seeing daggers in my sleep. We will see you in Atlanta.

I was teasing John White a while back. I said that his daggerwas a small sword at Batsons last year and by the time it got to Blade, he had polished it down so far that it barely made the 10 inch minimum:D
