Hey! I'm in the Chicago area and am looking for any blade shows that may be coming up in the near future--or at least a website that may list any shows. Anybody got any ideas? I've looked, but can't find much of anything. Any help would be much appreciated...:D

Come on down in a couple of weeks to the St. Louis knife show. 28-29 January, at the Carpenter's Union Hall on S. Hampton(Zoo exit). Just a couple of blocks South of Highway 40.

Is that a big show? I'm looking to buy a few new auto's and potentially trade a few things--MT's and Dalton's. Think it's worth the trip down from Chicago?

That is one of the bigger shows down here, but be careful bringing those auto's back into Illinazi!

Yeah, no kidding...one of the problems living in IL. Thanks for the info, I might just try and make it down there for that show...

In Sept, there are two... Chicago Custom Knife show in Arlington Heights, and the AECA show in Oak Lawn (I think) Also the Badger show, located in Janesville Wisc in March isn't too far away from the Chicago area.

To Mongo...Excuse me while I whip this out...:D

Thanks...I was at the Oak Lawn show last year--pretty good. I am definitely planning on getting to the Janesville show-I've heard it's pretty good too. Thanks for the info...

Howdy bd... if you think the oak lawn show was good, you'd probably have a dehydration crisis (from drooling) by going to the Chicago Custom show. Gimme a holler if you go to any of these... there is usually quite a few BF members going.

The Oak Lawn show was pretty good about 2 years ago. Before the Chicago Custom show started up. The last couple of years have been disappointing since alot of the quality makers/vendors absconded to the Custom show.

If you want an excellent show, try to make it to the Blade Show in Atlanta in June. Massive Cool!

Yeah, I've heard the Atlanta show is THE ONE to get to. My parents just got a place in northcentral GA, so I'm hoping to get down there this year when the show is going on. Mongo, as for the two shows in Chicago in Sept, I'll let you know when I'm going. I'll definitely be at both of those...is there much in the way of production knives at the custom show--that is what I tend to buy as the customs I usually like don't quite fit into my budget:mad:

Howdy again bd. Custom only at the Chicago Custom show, but it's definately worth it! The AECA show and Badger show will have production stuff too. All three are good to go to. The AECA show is now smaller, but I think a little more family friendly if you have kids. It also seems to attract a couple of vendors that have lots of Bark River knives, which are pretty high quality production bordering on custom knives.
