Many slipjoint pocketknives manufactured in the USA or Germany develop blade sideplay eventually even if used very carefully avoiding prying, etc. Even some new knives have blade sideplay. However, I have never seen a Vic. or Wenger swiss army knife new or used with blade sideplay even though they do not have the heavy bolsters of the US or German knives. Can anyone explain why this is the case?
