Anybody Know Why A Lot Of Knife Manufacturers Etch Their Name On The Blade Instead Of Stamping Like Marbles Did Years Ago?

Probably get a better,sharper quality design and it doesnt stress the steel like stamping does.

Electro, or acid etching is much cheaper and easier to do. You can buy a basic etcher for about 50.00 dollars.

The stamps for "press stamping" can be expensive to get set up.\

can anyone add anything to this?
