Blade steel on Buck Cadet?

Couln't find it on their website. What's the blade material of the new 303 cadets?
 
The info I've seen, shows the steel as 420 HC. Don't know what you mean by "new" vrs if I was looking at "old". :confused:

You might get more responses if you post this ? at the Buck Knife Forum under Makers/Mfgs.
 
dullone is correct - Buck started using 420HC stainless for the standard production knives back in 1994. Prior to that they were using 425M for a couple years. So if your knife is brandy new, it will be the 420HC.
 
thanx for the info. I said new because I didn't know if and how many times they changed in the past. Looks like 420HC it is.
