The best and only advice that should be given when this question is asked in a knife form:what are the different types of steel used in knives and what are the pros and cons of each?
that is what i thought you meant.
lets try to narrow this down do you want to know about just stainless steels or non stainless steels to????
The best and only advice that should be given when this question is asked in a knife form:
READ THE FORUMS
Make an effort read some threads, then you will have something interesting to expand on and ultimately contribute to the forum. Threads like this come off as completely lazy, more than innocent. "just askin' a question". It's like going to a car dealership and asking them, "how does that car move down the road by simply pressing the gas pedal?". In short, you want answers? They are here, but you have to read and dig for them, don't be lazy.
i could go on and on with just the many different steels and way longer about there properties
this is a very dumbed down version![]()

I know you were just trying to be helpful, but there is so much misinformation in that post that it makes my head spin.
Not to mention that you provided zero factual information, it is all anecdotal.
