Hi, I'm wondering what type of steel is used in the Westen Line of fixed bald knives. Namely the "Small Game Fixed Blade Knife
..#WL628" and the "Rawhide Fixed Blade Knife
..#WL66"
Also, I used to have a Western Knife like the WL628 but it had a blood groove and some sort of stacked mettle handle. Any one have a clue as to what the knife could have been? Sorry, but I don't have it any more to get any numbers off of it. Lost it on a camping trip in 6' of snow in 1998.
- two more things that I forgot - What is the going price on a new WL628 and what is the RC hardness of the steel?
