Blade steel?

On most sites the steel of this knife is listed as AISI 420.

Here it's listed as forged 1095 !

This is not a promotion to that ebay seller.
This knife can be bought at 1/3 of the price this seller is asking!
It's certainly not a handmade custom knife

Can it be that the manufacturer (somewhere in China) makes this knife in different kind of steels ? It seems unlikely because they would at least make a run in a huge amount of pieces to be profitable and this is the only one I see listed as 1095.
