Hi, I am throwing this knife with this grip, relaxed. Distance is short. the problem is when I throw the knife edge down the knife twists and hits the target horizontally any idea what I am doing. I am attempting to throw no spin.

Follow through is important with no spin maybe throw with a bit more force.

Hi there. First of all, it's very difficult to throw anything other than short distance throws when using a no spin technique with that grip. Your knives twisting and not sticking the same way you're holding them is normal for a no spin throw. Some people call that "bullet spin." I'd say give it a shot with your index finger on the spine.

I can't hold the knife right with a finger on the spine. I am throw these spin and waiting for my new cold steel knives that can be thrown no spin

Anything can be thrown no spin, just don't choke up on it so much.

I wouldn't worry about "bullet" spin. What harm is it causing?

I don't like bullet spin with these knives because they are so light that many times when they hit horizontal to the target they don't stick or they fall out because they are cross grain and don't penetrate deep enough, I don't have that problem to much with my cold steel knives because they are longer and heavier
