blade swap in a Large Regular

I've been out of this area for a while, so I'm a little uncertain about the name changes recently...

I have a large regular (was BG42, but CRK replaced the blade with s30V while doing repair work in 06), that I would love to get a damascus blade in. The slabs have been engraved and I'd just like to "dress it up" a bit.

I sent CRK an email, but thought I'd ask the experts here while I wait --- do they still make damascus blades for the older Sebenzas?
 
I asked once about getting a Damascus blade put into a Limited Edition Large Seb and the answer was about nine months.
 
They should be able to do it, especially since the blades are custom made to each knife, it should not matter what model you have. The wait is close to a year though sometimes.

I don't mind the wait, but when you say the blades are custom made to each knife --- they don't need my knife for the whole wait time, do they? That would be tough, lol.
 
Another question - if anyone sees this --- can you swap a damascus blade out of a Seb 21 to use in a Large Regular? And then put the Large Regular blade in the 21?

Are the 21 and Regular blades interchangeable?

I do not believe that can be done.
 
I was afraid of that, thank you for the insight / info.

Thanks for the help everyone, placed the order Monday for a stainless damascus blade, now the wait............
