Blade swap in a Puma Duke

My dad has an old Puma Duke, stag buck 110 style knife that he loves, but over the last 15 years or so has sharpened away to the point that what is left of the blade is a mishapen thick toothpick, and he can no longer make it sharp. He bought a new one, that is of much lower quality in the handle, thinking he would drill the pivot out of the old one, and swap it out. I do not think it will work, because the radius on the tang, that rides against the lock when you open the knife, appears to be smaller, so even if he got it in, I think it would 1 prolly not lock up right, 2 the lock bar would not fit along the spine.
can anybody recomend a knife repairer who could put a new blade in his old handle for a reasonable amount of money. Now, he loves this knife, but it was I think 100 bucks when he bought it, and I think the new ones are less than that, and much lower quality, so it may make more sense for him to fall in love with a new knife, but I figured I would ask if there was a not too expensive way to put a new blade into this thing?
