Blade swap problem

Well my well laid plans fell through. I was planning on taking the blade from my 551-1304 Camp Perry and putting it in the handle of my 15020 Bone Collector. Tried it today and it wasn't even close to fitting

Anyone have similar experiences from trying to take a 551 blade and using the bone collector's handle?

The griptilians and bone collector are NOT swappable. The bone collectors are swappable with the presidios however.

Maybe ill start hunting for a presidio then
