Is it possible to swap blades between Sebenza 21s? Or are they individually custom fit so a blade that fits one knife might not work for another?

Custom fit for that particular knife, Over time if you do a blade swap it will wear incorrectly on the lock.

I have had a particularly good run of swaping blades on Sebenzas. I think it's really the luck of the draw....

Used my two (only CRKs) with zero issues over about 6 years now. Smooth, perfect lockup, no play and rock solid. I swapped the blade, washers, bushing and stop pin as one unit into the other handle. Both lockup about 60% and haven't moved since I swapped. Pretty much daily use and likely thousands of openings at this point.

E Evany even though some here have had success with blade swapping I wouldn’t do it. As a member above stated, the locks, washers, pivots are hand fit. If you did run into issues your warranty would likely be void.

Just remember where you got the parts. If the switch doesn’t work, put everything back where it was.

The warranty is too important to me to risk, but I might see if CRK would do it if I sent both knives in.

What exactly are you trying to do-switch from what to what? If they can fit the blade to the other knife it then won't be the correct fit for the one you took it from.
They can make you a second blade for a cost

Not saying I support blade swapping but, in some cases how would you even be able to tell? Lots of options from the factory out there to include most any combination you can think of. As long as its within the realm of CRK possibilities for a given knife, how could they tell you swapped it and void your warranty? Again, I do not support this idea...

My thought is there are certain parameters that work.. a 21 can take another 21's Damascus DP blade in a swap for a S35/30 ...I sent in a Tanto Regular Blade and CRK sent it back saying they could not fit it to a 21 scale set. It did not fit in either of 2 Regulars I have. So , not being a knife maker, I shelved the blade. If the swap blade goes in easily and I get 50% + lockup, and it's smooth, I take a chance. I have ended up with partial knives, and spare parts that I want to make work.As far as warranty, that can be left entirely up to CRK. I do not blade swap just for grins....

Years back I had a Wilson combat large 21 with a insigno blade on it before they were released it worked like every other 21 I had.

Exact same swap I did (before combo was available), but small lefties. Can't get rid of these now since they have the small idaho stamp as well.

I have a large left handed Knife Art CF drop point and as nice as it is, if I ever got a chance to replace or swap the blade with a damaacus one, I'd want to try it.

Do you own a large with Damascus?

I don’t know for sure, but I think the wear and tear would be abnormal. Our untrained eyes probably couldn’t tell, but a guy who fits locks for a living might be able to.

I don't currently own a large 21 with damascus, but if I ever was able to find a PJ left handed one, I'd be tempted to swap blades with my CF 21. That said I don't think Ill do it, based on the responses here. Maybe CRK would do it for me. I did ask if they would sell me a damascus blade and install it on my knife. Their response was--maybe; I should call back in a year or so when they have caught up with other demands.

You Could swap the front (non lock side) scale from one knife to the other. You only cause problems when you swap lock sides/blades/pivots/washers as those are all hand fit
