Blade Swap

Has anyone successfully swapped the blade of a Sage 1 Maxamet with that of a Sage 2 S30v ? Can it be done?
 
There's a few threads on the official Spyderco forums (not the sub-forum here) with conflicting answers, but it seems there was at least one guy who was able to make it work with some finessing. I have no personal knowledge myself but if you google Spyderco Sage 1 Sage 2 blade swap they are the first results.
