Blade swapping?

I know in light collecting, people will do emitter swaps and upgrade the light to a better quality by doing so. Can one do the same take out a stock blade and put a similarly styled blade onto the knife? Is this possible? If so, how much would it cost? Thanks,

It's possible, I've heard of people adding a zdp delica blade into a g-10 body, and people buying g-10 scales for their griptilians. You can do this to many sprint runs of a popular model, such as delicas, griptilians, leeks, etc. I've never heard of a maker creating a replacement blade though, like what you seemed to be suggesting.

Hi,

Anything can be done, if you have enough money to spend on it. The question you need to ask is, is it worth it? And in my opinion most production knives aren't really worth the money it would cost. And for one that might be, you run the risk of lowering the value.

I hear alot of people doin' it wih Keshaws, Spydies, BMs, most any knife thats assembled with screws and has assorted models with different materials.

Also Buck has a custom shop where ya can custom build a knife, (choose scale material, blade material and other stuff) one of the Multitool companies IIRC Gerber, had a site where ya custom built your Multitool.

Sounds like what I want is plausible. What I was hoping to do is hoping to do is find someone who can fashion me a blade very similar in appearance and length to the one on a standard 556 mini grip and have them use a blade steel superior to 154cm (namely in edge holding and corrosion resistance). Since this has been indicated as plausible, does anyone know two things, firstly, who could do such a thing for me(and be someone in good standing) and secondly, what would this range to price wise? Thanks for the help so far,
