OK, my buddy picked up one of those BLADE knock offs...it is actually pretty cool...VERY heavy piece. I dismantled the thing to reveal what I already knew about the wanna-be tang setup.

So, here is what I have planned, and I want some opinions..

Cut the steel to the base of the sharpened material. Hone down the edges to high finish dullness, bore three holes 1.5 inches apart, and then handle with a closet-bar minus 1/4" removed by dato bit. Afix handle (6") with three allen sets and epoxy.

Should gie a 22" blade, and a six" full tang gaurdless handle.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to actually do some cutting with it, I don't think it will be worth the effort if it's 420 stainless. What kind of steel is it?

But somtimes you hafta have a stainless decorator sword fold up on you before you realie it. I'd consider harder wood if it were an actuall hi-carbon tempered sword, like a hickory axe handle.
