Hi guys. I've been looking at the MLEK and the MLEK lite and was wondering if anyone has any Blade-Tech knives and what they think of them? I was wondering about the liner lock in particular. I tried the search, but it just came up with a blank screen. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks:)

I have only one complaint with the MLEK. There's not enough of a cutout at the lock release. This is easily fixed with a Dremel tool I suppose, but a fellow shouldn't have to grind on a knife that costs a hundred bux. I plan to modify mine someday, just haven't gotten around to it. Once there's sufficient clearance to get more thumb meat to the lock release, I don't foresee any other issues. Great design and execution. I don't know anything about the Lite model, my post refers to the G-10 version.

I went with the Pro Hunter Lite because I thought it might have a slightly stronger tip and have not been disappointed. The opening hole and locking bar were a little sharp, but nothing that really bothered me and were easily fixed (diamond rod).

The Lite model is stronger than it looks and has metal liners and back spacer. Everything is milled about as much as possible for lightness. Made in Taiwan, but easily comparable to other knives of this type.

The handle to blade ratio on the G-10 model was a little large and not exactly what I was looking for. The Lite was and has replaced both my Spyderco and Benchmade knives for EDC and was about 50 bucks shipped. Not bad.

I have the M.L.E.K pro and it is a very stout knife. A little on the stiff side but I am sure that it will wear its self into a very smooth action. I got the orange handles too...like that orange!

Fear not, Blade-Tech makes a very usable knife.

+1 on the Pro Hunter Lite. It's so well-made and so inexpensive that it has become my EDC at work.

I have several prohunters and they are excellent knives. Very thin in the pocket yet very solid in the hand.

Ultimate Blade-Tech, IMO is the Ti frame lock Rijbak. I posted mine in pictures which can be seen on page 9 under, my didn't need it but...., thread. Its very heavy duty and locks up with its Ti frame lock like a vault. Never seen any lock up on any knife fitted as close. Blade is spear pointed and heavy. One fave knife of mine for sure. (you can see by the picture it's next to a ZT0200 and has as much blade)
