The search function on the site isn't working for me, anyone else having problems with it?

Anyway, I ordered the less expensive Blade Tech hunter with 440c. Does anyone have an informed opinion of Blade Tech knives?

I am a huge fan of the Wegner design. The design transcends its original purpose. It makes a great tactical knife and edc. I have been since Spyderco first produced it. In my opinion Blade-tech took a great thing and made it better.

I have a couple of the liteweights enroute. I will say that I have high hopes and expectations. If the fit and finish are good it will be an excellent value. I can form an opinion of those when they get here.

I will post my impressions when they arrive.

440-B is a very solid performer and 440-c is axcellent for knife

plan no useless move, take no step in vain.

I bought one of the Blade-Tech Mouse Lite knives in 440C about 6 months ago and have been very happy with it. I was looking for a tough, decent quality edc for a reasonable price ($37.95) and this little knife has filled the bill perfectly.

Whoever makes these knives for Blade-Tech does an excellent heat treat. My Mouse takes a great edge and holds it as well as any knife I've owned made with 440C. (also like the way Blade-Tech patterns the FRN handle to look just like G-10)

Yup, I've always had probs with it. The moderator helping me acknowledged the probs also. Just seems to be a quirky thing. :grumpy: Oh well...:grumpy: ;) It's a hassle.

How does the patterned FRN feel compared to actual G10? That's the only issue keeping me from ordering one right now; no budget for the G10/S30V, but not sure how I'd like the FRN. Even thought I've been warming up to it lately via Spyderco, still haven't made up my mind yet. thanks

The paterned FRN on my Mouse-Lite is not as aggresive and "grippy" as some G-10 but it's still very functional and I haven't had any problems at all with the knife slipping around in my hand.... IMHO these "Lite" versions from Blade-Tech are some of the better values out there at this time.

I just discovered the "Lite" range from Blade Tech the other day too... pretty decent prices and generally I'll take a lockback over liner lock.

Looking forward to the comments - a Mouse Lite and Hunter Lite in my near future!
