I've been thinking about ordering this knife and tonight I have sorta made up my mind to pull the trigger on it. Now this is not my normal fare as I usually am not without one of the beefier folders around, and am a HUGE fan of the ZT0200 and Kershaw G-10 Tyrade. At the same time I have been thinking about a little smaller blade, in the 3.5" range, and a littler lighter knife around 5.5 to 6 ounces. While the Blade-Tech scores well in blade length, it is still a little shy of the 5.5 ounce mark, weighing in at about 5 ounces. I've read nothing but good things about these knives. I've also read that the pivot used on these is almost identical to the Spyderco pivot for the Military. A few years ago I had a Blade-Tech Pro Hunter, but at the time I just wasn't into smaller and lighter, and I'm not sure if it had double liners either. Anyway, the Magnum Extreme means a thicker blade, 5/32" vs. 1/8", and thicker liners, if you call this thick, of .050" vs.040", that are nested , and constructed of stainless steel. The Extreme means that the blade is coated in the DLC coating. It is approx. a $50 option for the Extreme over the regular, and I'm not sure why the cost is so high for the DLC coating, but I might as well get the top dog out of the bunch!!:D

So I guess my question is, who has one and how do you like it?

I'm surprised that this has not gotten some responses, but maybe I was too specific. Does anyone have a magnum model be it MLEK, or Pro Hunter, or even the MLEK in the regular model they can comment on?
