Earlier this week I ordered a Blade Tech Responder from my favorite pharmacy and I am really happy with it. I ordered the blaze orange and plain edge version. This is the first rescue style knife that I have handled that is capable of performing the majority of EDC chores. The point is still usable for chores yet would slide under clothing for rescue use without risking hurting the victim. I used it in the kitchen cutting tomatoes without any problems, then used it to break down like 40 cardboard boxes when the truck came it. It zipped through the boxes quickly and easily. I also opened several vacuum packed rolls of quarters with no edge damage. I shipped several knives this week and sliced down quite a bit of bubble wrap and it cut very smoothly. It is comfortable to carry in the pocket. The glass breaker feature also works very well. I tested it on some storm windows out back. It broke the windows with very little effort. I did not have a chance to try out the oxygen bottle wrench but I am sure it would work fine. The handle is comfortable in the hand and caused not hot spots in 30 minutes worth of work. Touch ups were not required but I did it anyway to see how easy it would be to sharpen. It sharpened very well. The point won't go through things like my pro hunter will but it works well enough especially considering its a rescure knife. Overall its a perfect knife for anyone that needs a rescue knife but does not want to carry a utility blade also.
