ANy body have experience with this one?

Any thoughts?

And if it were you, the blade-tech or Fox?

I'm also aware of the 5.11..so between the 3 which one

I'm aware the 5.11 does not have built in wave.

Go with Fox, I've had just about every production folding karambit out there and the riptides blade is weird imo and the handle isnt as comfortable, the Fox on the other hand is very smooth, good sized blade and a comfortable handle

Also what bout the "resized" Karambit from FOX thats offered?

Fox fx-599 is roughly the same size as Emerson's combat karambit. The fox 479 is a little big on the handle side,in my opinion. I've owned both Emerson combat & super karambit. Sold the super & still have the combat. I will be looking to add the fx-599 to my collection in the near future.

I just ordered a Fox FX-599.
It's only sold by one distributor in the U.S.
I found the owner/distributor to be very accommodating, professional and personable, spending
time talking to me and answering my questions.
I'm looking forward to receiving it, will post photos then.
For me the size is perfect and as I own another FOX knife made in Maniago Italy, I know the craftsmanship will be superb.

At this time the only video on YouTube that shows the smaller Fox FX-599 Karambit is this one:

Check out this thread. I (as well as others) have not had a pleasant experience with Fox Knives.

I read the above link.
The Karambit I purchased is a Fox U.S.A. FX-'599', other than utilizing the patented Wave feature, it's nothing like an original standard Fox Karambit, not like an aluminum handled Karambit nor is it like the standard Emerson Karambit.
The blade is smaller and lighter, the ring was redesigned/re-sized and for me it's ergonomically superb, unless the OP has a hand the size of a catchers mitt.
If you're able to find 1 negative owner/user review of the 599, please show it to me.
Re: Fox knives, my experience has be very positive, I own a Combative Edge SALUS made by Fox which is superb, with Böhler N690Co steel.
