blade types

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to expand my knowledge about different types of blades and their caracteristics. I thinks that knowing what diffente shapes of blades were used for can be important for knife design. And I just love to learn about diferent knives and swords from diferent parts of the world and different times.

Do any of you have some good sugestions about sources (books, websites, etc) were I could find such knowledge?
