Does anyone notice that the sweet spot is wearing inward a little on any of their choppers? Just curious. I was just touching my Eu-Mag up after some slight rolling of the edge came about after some work on some very hard wood in the yard today. I used some 1200 grit over cardboard and noticed the blade is wearing inward towards the middle while working it. Just slightly, enough so holding the knife completely flat there wasn't solid contact toward the very middle of the sweet spot.

I'm not sweatin it, just wondering if others are experiencing the same thing. Should I let it go as is, or go to town on evening the edge out?

Oh yeah, I was noticing last night ( 600 grit on a mouse pad) that my FBM was starting to develop a slight recurve ( wow, and I didn't have to pay extra for the modification ;)) at the sweet spot.

The mouse pad is forgiving enough that you can still maintain the edge. I've got a couple of recurve users, the mouse pad works great. Got my practice maintaining the edge on a khukri or 2.

If it really starts to annoy, you can reprofile the edge, but it's kinda a love bite , like worn coating.

Cliff Stamp beat the living dog $#$ out of a BM, had to reprofile the edge a few times.

You can do a search for his experience.

Sounds defective..I will pay shipping to me for further investigation!

Hmmm.........I don't think I'm liable to do that Jason. I might not see her again :D. A great user: Thanks JJ, I'll look in to Cliff Stamps notes!
