I hate too post this but I just recieved my 807UH [USA] today that I won on the bay.."nice" but not perfect...my questions this, whats the best way too tight the side buy side blade play and give it more spring when opening?? Now honestly..I have thought of compressing it in a vice[rubber on each side for protection] but in a search someone wrote that it might spilt the rivets and such. Anyone have a clue whats the best method for a fix?? I'm not one for taking one apart..so would the vice or hammer do the trick? or can I send it somewhere? Thanks in advance!!

I carefully tap the rivet with a cutler's hammer, on an anvil. But it won't increase the snap. In fact it may lessen it.

I understand that it won't help the spring action any..I just didn't to screw up a cool little knife!

i put the bolster b/w 2 pieces of thick leather, and tap gently with a hammer. this seems to work ok, and so far i havent damaged a bolster or handles yet. as far as the spring, i havent noticed much difference except on one, and it seems like there was some "foreign" material in there kinda slowing down the snap. good luck, and remember to take it easy on anything u do, protect the bolsters.

kris,Thats just what I did last night at work, did a pretty good job of stopping the wobble..but the lack of snap in closing tears me up:jerkit: I'm pretty anal about the petty things but when a blade won't close all the way without help--that just gets on my nerves:mad: I'm on my way out the door right now too snoop around the pawn shops right now!
