Hi Guys,

I very much enjoyed reading the blade '07 threads. And I envy all you guys that were there ;).

Everybody is so full of enthousiasm that I'm planning on visiting next year. I would like to take my family as well but can't tell right now if that's going to be possible (work/school vs vacation). For us this means our trip to the US would be our main holiday so that's why I have a few Q's:

When is Blade '08?
Is it in Atlanta again?
Do you have any recommendations for me where to stay? A nice hotel would be great (doesn't have to be cheap but also not too expensive, would like to be able to spend some loot on INFI :D).

Hoping to see you all next year.......

.......Now about this years knives:
In Jerry's pics of the postponed Bloodbathaganza there was ONE blade with my name all over it. I hope Jerry can and will put it up in the upcoming ganza:
It's the most left Steelheart Variant in Jerry's picture!!

So please Boss Bring this one again........if not in the upcoming Ganzaa then next year at Blade and you can write my name on the sleeve beforehand:D

I can't help you much on answering your Blade 08 questions, however, I hope you will be able to make it as it is a blast.

:D:D

I have heard Blade will be the last 2 days of May and the first day of June in 2008. As far as hotels others who have stayed in more than one would give better advice than me.

Splurge the extra $$$ on the waverly. You don't have to go far from your hotel room to get to the pit and that's where the party is.

You could just sleep on the Fountain in front of the Waverly.

I stayed with family so it was cheap but I had to drive all over the place.

The first night I stayed about two miles from the show. That was a huge drag. Much better to be at the Waverly so you can leave the show and use your room during the day. The hotel isn’t that bad for a good room, about $150.00.

2008 BLADE Show & International Cutlery Fair in Atlanta, GA May 30-June 1. This is what i found on the blade website :)

KAAK is, as usual, correct. Especially clever to join the Marriott frequent users club -- as I believe the Waverly is a Renaissance.

If you just don't want to spend the $$, try the Marriott Residence Inn Cumberland. It's about a mile from the Waverly and is a nice, roomy place. If you're clever you can get a good room with desk and kitchen for about $90/day.

FAR RIGHT: I was also looking for this one. I don't believe Jerry offered it up. I recognize the other knives in the pic, though.
