Whats the story on this knife???? Its almost 2013???? I paid for this thing in April 2012. Anybody have word??
 
It will get here. Best bet is to try to forget about it, and it will be a nice surprise when it arrives. Some folks in this world have real problems, but this ain't one of them. :) There's a current BF Skyline thread you may want to track down. Edit: here.
 
Excuse me...Im making in inquiry to a purchase I made over 8 months ago. Sorry if that seems unreasonable to you. I would think after that kind of time elapses a consumer would start "remembering" the purchase and wonder where my purchase is...your mileage may differ. Telling me that other people have real problems is completely ridiculous. If you do not have anything constructive to bring to the conversation please refrain from making comments. I believe if you kept up with the thread would know that the Skyline is coming out in the next week or so. There were some hiccups but Also realize it is a custom knife being made in a small batch from a Great Knife company so it takes awhile for any custom ordered knife to be made.


Here is a pic to hold you over till this beauty arrives

Sorry I didnt keep up with the thread and asked a friggin question...I hadnt made an inquiry regarding this purchase in over 4 months. Kinda figured it was time. You would think I asked every week by the tone on the responses. Its cool...people are what they are...especially via a computer.
 
Shanester, I don't make a habit of apologizing for other people, but, no- you didn't deserve to get your head bitten off for asking the question.

Unfortunately, there's been all kinds of drama around this knife lately and people are (evidently) a little "sensitive" shall we say? Of course, you could also say insensitive after some of these replies.

Short answer is, yeah, it's running late, but they should be out this month. I've never seen a custom run yet come in on time, so I wasn't expecting anything else.

Sorry for the grief, but you should be seeing your knife soon.

Thank you sir for your response. That was all I was looking for...a bit of communication on the whereabouts of my order. I realize that custom items run in to "issues" sometimes. My question was not one of complaint but of clarity. I also deal in many custom items but as I eluded to in my prior post...its all about communication. Not comments about where I should have looked and about how bad off some people are.....what? Anyway...thanks again...that was pretty harmless.
 
Wow, i didnt know. Is there anyway for sure to tell they still have a few left? Didnt know how that worked was all. Thanks Revdevil for the info though
 
we all understand that a production time can be difficult to estimate but this knife has been all over the place..


at first it was FFG, then it was saber.

at first it was july - september, then october, then the first week of november (novembers almost over).

however, i do understand both sides of the spectrum here.

from sparks end (taking on a difficult task) to the guy saying "hey, what the hell?".

so there's pictures and apparently it's almost delivery time but there's nothing wrong with someone showing some concern.
 
These should be shipping from Kershaw to us Monday or Tuesday. Wootles!
 
Also as a heads up: We're stopping taking pre-orders on the skylines at this time. We should have a couple dozen left due to all the cancellations, but since paypal refunds didn't properly adjust inventory levels, I'm going to make sure that we don't oversell or leave anyone out. I want to say there's around 36 or so left at this time, they'll be put up for ordering again after they get here and every one is accounted for.
